Aqaba is next to Eilat, and has some great sea views, and good snorkelling. It isn't as built up as on the Israeli side though, and many resorts are still being built.

Our room was a big step up from most of the rooms we were staying at.

There is a kids pool and adults pool.

La vie est dur.

The beach was very pleasant, but not a nice soft sand. In addition the mattresses they insisted on providing with the beds were unbelievably nasty.

The beach bar served snacks, including hot food, and was a cheaper alternative to the restaurant.

Jordanians love their huge flags. It doesn't show well here, but this is actually far, far away - one of the largest flags we'd ever seen (until we got to Amaan)
