We watched the sunrise over Dune 45 in the Namib Desert. It was a truly magical experience, except for the hundreds of other people crowded on top of the dune trying to do the same thing.

Along with thousands of other insane people, we dragged ourselves out of "bed" at 4:30am so that we could climb Dune 45 and watch the sunrise.

That's the mist that will soon burn off, not clouds.

You can just see the circle of vehicles, with the guides safely inside, waiting for the crazy tourists to climb back down.
