Longshen, or Dragon's Spine Terraces, is known for terraced rice paddies that stretch as far as the eye can see. It was a highlight of our visit to China.

From Longshen we took not one, but several buses, and finally found someone who spoke some English, and rescued us, and slightly later than we would have arrived had we walked, we finally made it to Longji Titian. Which thankfully proved to be breathtaking, and worth getting lost for. Longji Titian means "Backbone of the Dragon Terraces." The terraced rice paddies really do stretch as far as the eye can see. We made it up to Viewpoint Number 1, but unfortunately didn't have time to see Number 2. We at at the Longsheng Green Food Restaurant. Good thing the dress I'd just bought is stretchy... The restaurant was empty of course. They always were. We ate too late for China. By 8 a lot of places are closed!
