The Red Fort was the highlight of our visit to Old Delhi.

Approaching the Red Fort in the morning . The Red Fort, or Lal Qila, was built when Mughal emperor Shah Jagan moved the capital from Agra to Delhi in 1639.  This is the Lahore Gate, so named because it faces Lahore (Pakistan) . Through the door is Chatta Chowk (Covered Bazaar) Approaching the Diwan-i-Am. The Diwan-I-Am is the Hall of Public Audiences.  The emperor would sit here to hear complaints from his subjects. Diwan-I-Am.  This is where the throne used to sit. The Diwan I Khas Moti Masjid Mosque, built in 1662 by Emperor Aurangzeb.
