In July, 1998 we flew from Ottawa to San Diego, CA and spent two weeks driving around Southern California. This was our first trip to Disneyland, Santa Barbara, etc. and also acted as a "research" trip for our forthcoming move.

	Santa Barbara, California One of the most beautiful areas of California.  This small city is nestled right between the mountains and the ocean, and features a lovely downtown area and parks.   We were there for the July 4th weekend. 100,000 people crammed on the beachfront, and we didn't notice anyone misbehaving.
