Dougga, Tunisia

Dougga is on the edge of the Tebersouk Mountains. It is supposedly the most spectacular of the country's Roman ruins. Not so much so when it's pouring rain.

Privacy wasn't a big concern when designing Roman restrooms.
Dougga's theater could seat 3500 people.
Dougga's Capitol was a gift presented to the city in 166 by the Marcius family. It's walls are constructed using the building technique 'opus africanum'

We didn't dwell at the ruins - it was too wet and cold. Oh well, that's what you get for risking a winter visit...
