Gyeongju is known for its Tumuli Park, which is a large park in the middle of the city center. The park is dotted with these large manmade hills, covered in grass. The hills are giant tombs, like the pyramids in Egypt. And no, you're not allowed to climb them. This is the only tombs you're allowed to go inside. The inside is rather simple. Tumuli Park Dragonflies The hills seem to go on forever. The Wolfseong Observatory was a little disappointing, to say the least. There, you've seen it, no need to go. The Anapji Pond is also close to downtown, and has an amazing lotus pond. We spent at least an hour here, wandering around and enjoying the never ending photo opportunities. If you don't like photos of Lotus Flowers, please feel free to skip forward about 20 photos! After dinner we had one of our best dinners at Kuro Ssambap, which was 28 refillable side dishes. We stayed at Sarangchae Traditional Homestay. Basically, it was a small room with a mattress on the floor.
