Beijing Opera (Chinese Opera), China

We went to see a performance of Beijing Opera at the Huguang Guild Hall.
At the Huguang Guild Hall. For our Western ears, the sound was a little hard to take. We could appreciate the talent and the training that the singers must have to produce these sounds and music. But, 1 hour was enough!

"But I am the Monkey King, I don't be afraid of you!" The opera's saving grace: the awesome subtitles.
