Zozer's step pyramid is the first major Egyptian structure constructed entirely in stone and was a major change in the building techniques of the Egyptians. The pyramid is about 200 feet tall.  The burial chamber was located 28 feet underground, at the end of a steep vertical shaft leading down under the pyramid.
