Flash forward about a week, and on our way back from New Orleans, we stopped at the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge.  Aransas is known for its population of migratory Whooping cranes.  There are only 300 left in the world.  Just outside of view are the lovely oil rigs.  Thanks, George.
