I stayed there too! When the tide was low you could go into the caves of the rock formations. And did you meet the owners dog, Mocha? She was our tour guide for our walks on the coast. She always led us back, even from a mile down the coast :)

I wonder if the positive comments about Windermere were planted by the owners. This place is an overpriced, tacky, dump. There is no central heating - had to use the oven for heat because the ancient space heater wasn't doing a good job. The remodeling was incomplete and poorly done. The only positive was the lovely beach and view. We were trapped there because we made the reservations sight unseen. I was so glad to get out of there. Staying there was the only bad experience from our recent trip to the coast.
