At the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) in Old Jerusalem

The Western Wall is the only part of the Jewish Temple that remains. It is actually part of what was once the retaining wall that supported the Temple Mount. The Wall fills with people Friday night for the beginning of the Sabbath. Minaret of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is directly above the Western Wall. Praying at the Wall. You can see the notes with prayers on them that people have shoven between the stones. Wendy reaches above the crowd to find a spot not already filled with prayers. View of people praying at the Western Wall taken from the ramp that leads up to the Temple Mount with the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Calling Grandma from in front of the Western Wall. Calling Mom from in front of the Western Wall. Prayers shoved into cracks between the stones in the Western Wall. The Israeli flag flies in front of the Western Wall.
