We really enjoyed our time on the beach in Aruba.  We wouldn’t recommend it for anyone wanting a grand cultural experience, but if you’re looking for guaranteed sunshine, great beaches, lots of big hotels with fancy pools, and a pretty downtown to spend a day or so in – it certainly fits the bill!
