Sbragia Family Vineyards
We chose to do the reserve tasting. Again, our tasting notes for what they’re worth:
La Promessa Zinfandel – not a clean finish, smoky
Andolsen Cabernet – complex, very good
Monte Russo Cabernet – fruity, easy, light spice, but the finish wasn’t clean
Rancho del Oso Cabernet – $75! Clean finish, simple. Grapes come from a Napa vineyard.Cimarossa Cabernet – $75, again! The finish wasn’t as clean as we’d like. Smoky. Also made from grapes grown in Napa.
Wall Cabernet – The third $75 wine we tasted. Nice finish, complex, excellent! This is also from a Napa vineyard.
There are lots of tables out on the concrete patio about half of which is covered – so there’s plenty of shade available. Again, the feeling is more “upscale” and not “small family vineyard”. Still – it’s a lovely place to wile away another beautiful afternoon in Sonoma County Wine Country!
