Tataouine is a compact, easy city to get around in. There isn’t much in the way of nice hotels – there are a few expensive tourist hotels out of town that cater to the coach potatoes, but in town the quality goes down. Our hotel (Hotel La Gazelle – not highly recommended, but it’s probably the best in town) was more than happy to hook us up with a tour guide / taxi driver who would take us to the Ksour. The Ksour are abandoned Berber settlements, and are the main attraction in Tataouine.
