Hi ,
I just found your fascinating website. Do you travel and blog as an occupation? If so, how did it come about? What criteria does one need to be able to do so? If it is your hobby, how do you manage it? Quite curious, Sincerely, M. Read

Hello,
No it’s not our occupation - we just love traveling! We’re lucky enough to have jobs that let us take time off to travel. How do we manage it? We buy airplane tickets and go!

Trip Advisor has really good feedback and reviews directly from travelers. Tunisia is a really interesting place to visit, and at a good prices, but watch out for the ridiculously aggressive vendors at the marketplace, even leaving the hotel, the waiters coming off a work shift might offer to show you where an atm is and you wind up at the cousin’s shop in the same situation. We went to Tunisia for a little over a week, while we were there a group at our hotel were filming in Tatooine, wish we had gotten out to see that town as well. Haven’t heard good things about Egypt (run down, shot up, dirty). Wherethehellismatt.com has great travel info including costs and photos (he literally has been everywhere). If you are looking to really travel on the cheap http://www.couchsurfing.com is a good website to check out.

We had a 50ft sailboat on the key in Papeete for 4 months in 1973. The skyline looks the same…buildings and Morea that is, boardwalk looks much more commercial.

Hello, we’re interested in staying at St. Catherine’s Monastery by Mt. Sinai, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to actually make a contact or reservation. Can you point me to a website or email? Thanks for your wonderful photos and captions.

An impressive website. Well done! I especially envy your tiger sightings and pictures. They’re a difficult subject.

Hello Ian and Wendy, I saw your picture of the Golden Sitting Buddha image, in Bangkok. The image is in the temple called Wat Tri-Mitr Wittayaram. Tri means three, Mitr means good friend. The story was told that this temple was built by three friends. They were merchants in the area.
